Here's the story Kota Bandung - Sangkuriang...
To live a happy family, a father in the form of a dog (his name is Tumang), mother (her name is Dayang Sumba), and the child plays Sangkuriang. One day, Dayang Sumba asked his son to hunt the nearest jungle and wanted some deer or venison liver. So Sangkuriang went hunting for her beautiful dog, Tumang, to please his mother. After hunting all day with empty hands, Sangkuriang began desperate and worried. Think a little ', Sangkuriang took an arrow and shot the dog. Well as soon Sumbi Dayang Sangkuriang lied. She knew she had killed Tumang Sangkuriang. So angry and hit his head Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang injured and scarred. Sangkuriang thrown out.
How could marry her son? Sangkuriang approved for this condition, and the lake was built by damming of the Citarum river. With the advent of just a minute away and the boat almost complete, Dayang Sumba Sangkuriang would have realized that he had to satisfy the condition set. The boat fell and thereby become the mountain Tangkuban PARAHU (in Sundanese means Tangkuban rolled up or upside down and PARAHU means boat). With the dam torn, water drained from the lake into a wide plain and nowadays became a city called Kota Bandung (from the word meaning BENDUNG dam).
